I thought about old rusty metal found on beaches, how it tells a story, where it has come from, the journey it has taken. I recalled old rusty keys belonging to houses in the past. This led to the idea of travelling back in time to places I have lived. I created 3 textile luggage labels depicting an ariel view of 3 locations; an Island in the Outer Hebrides, a Kibbutz in a desert and a narrow boat on the Oxford Canal. The reverse shows the addresses. Fabrics and paper on reverse were distresed with rusty metal, natural dyes and bleach.
